05 · CHAPTERS
A chapter is not a border.
It is a table.
Named for its city. Defined by the people who can gather around its table.
~90 MIN
Dinner on a
Tuesday night.
A chapter is designed around the distance a member can reasonably travel to dinner on a Tuesday night — roughly 90 minutes. It is a guide to gathering, not a geographic eligibility rule or an exclusive territory.

PLANNED — SUBJECT TO FINAL CONFIRMATION
The Founding Eight.
Gather eight suitable candidates.
A shared standard comes before a proposed city.
Request an evaluation.
Present the people and the reason the room should exist.
The Council reviews. The Founder approves.
The Council of Eight evaluates the request and advises. Any opening requires the Founder’s final approval. Nothing is automatic.
The Society opens and runs the chapter.
Seat 001 is conferred — applied for, never claimed. Honorary and revocable.
◆
Said plainly.
Chapters are never sold, franchised or licensed. There is no chapter-purchase fee, territory sale or franchise. The Society runs the chapter. A new chapter’s Seat 001 carries no ownership, vote or pay. An evaluation request is not an opening commitment.

If you are far from the table.
You may apply from outside Los Angeles. Be candid about your location and ability to attend. An unopened city does not imply a scheduled opening or local benefits.
