Terms of Use & Membership
Effective October 26, 2026 · Last updated: October 26, 2026 · This version replaces the version effective October 23, 2026, and applies from its effective date.
CURRENT STATUS: Membership is open by application and invitation and is billed only under a written membership agreement that you sign. Each membership includes a one-time $888 initiation fee plus annual dues. Membership runs in 12-month terms and renews each year when you pay your annual renewal invoice (see Section 4). The Referral Program is active for eligible members under a separate signed Referral Agreement.
These Terms govern your use of this website and, upon acceptance of an invitation, your membership in 888 SOCIETY, a private membership program operated by ORENIDUS, LLC, a California limited liability company, 7840 Firestone Blvd., Ste. #206, Downey, CA 90241 ("the Society," "we," "us"). By using this website or applying for membership, you agree to these Terms. If you become a member, your signed membership agreement also applies and controls over these Terms and this website if there is any conflict.
1. Nature of the Society — Important Disclosures
888 SOCIETY is a private community for networking, education, and personal and professional development. Membership is a service; it is not an investment, a security, a franchise, or an ownership interest of any kind, and it carries no right to profits, returns, or participation in any venture. A chapter is limited to 888 members and corresponds to a single city or metropolitan area; Southern California is the founding chapter. 888 SOCIETY is operated by ORENIDUS, LLC, a California limited liability company, which owns and operates the Society and makes all decisions about it. The Council of Eight is an honorary and advisory designation within the Society. It is not a board of directors, it is not a governing body of ORENIDUS, LLC, and it holds no legal authority over the company. A chair confers no ownership, no equity, no voting right, no share of revenue or profit, and no fiduciary duty is owed to members by reason of it. Membership confers no ownership interest, no voting right, and no right to participate in the management of the Society or of ORENIDUS, LLC. 888 SOCIETY does not provide, promise, secure, or guarantee any customer, account, client, outlet, location, contract, supplier, or sale to any member; the Deal Room and the Society’s introductions are a place where members may meet and speak with one another, and whether anyone does business, and on what terms, is entirely between those members. The Society does not participate in, broker, screen, guarantee, or take any share of any transaction between members, and it does not buy back anything from any member. Nothing on this website or in any Society room constitutes an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security, or investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. Any business dealings between members are private matters between those members, conducted at their own risk and with their own advisors. See also our Disclaimers.
2. Benefits May Change
Items marked planned are not available and are not part of an offer. Your written invitation and signed membership agreement identify your degree, price, term, confirmed benefits, and excluded items. Any later change is governed by that signed agreement, not by an earlier website preview.
3. Application, Admission & Conduct
Admission is by application and invitation, at our sole discretion. Members and their guests must be 18 or older; the sponsoring member is responsible for a guest’s conduct and for the same confidentiality obligations. Members agree to the Code of Eight, including strict confidentiality of member information shared in Society rooms. We may decline, suspend, or terminate membership for violation of these Terms or conduct harmful to the Society; any refund on suspension or termination is governed by your signed membership agreement.
4. Dues, Renewal & Cancellation
Your signed membership agreement controls. All memberships, including Founding Memberships, are billed only under a written membership agreement that you sign. That agreement sets your start date, term, fees, payment terms, renewal, cancellation, and refunds. If anything on this website differs from your signed agreement, your agreement controls.
Fees. Each degree has a one-time initiation fee of $888 plus annual dues:
• I° The Room: $888 initiation (one-time) + $2,000 annual dues = $2,888 first-year total; $2,000 per year after that.
• II° The Table: $888 initiation (one-time) + $4,000 annual dues = $4,888 first-year total; $4,000 per year after that.
• III° The Head Table: $888 initiation (one-time) + $8,000 annual dues = $8,888 first-year total; $8,000 per year after that.
The initiation fee is charged once and is never charged again at renewal.
ANNUAL RENEWAL: your membership runs for 12 months and renews each year when you pay your annual renewal invoice. No card is kept on file and there is no automatic charge. 30 days before your renewal date, we send you a written renewal notice and invoice for your degree's annual dues (I° $2,000 · II° $4,000 · III° $8,000), with your renewal date and how to cancel. Paying the invoice renews your membership for another 12 months. If it isn't paid by the renewal date, your membership simply ends at the end of the current term, with no penalty and no further obligation.
Price changes. Annual dues may change only at renewal. If they will change, we will tell you in writing in your renewal notice, sent 30 days before your renewal date, and you can decline simply by not renewing. A change never applies to a term already in progress.
How to cancel. You may cancel at any time by emailing corp@888society.club. No phone call and no reason are needed. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current 12-month term, and your access continues until then. We will confirm your cancellation in writing.
Payment terms and refunds. Payment terms are set out in your signed membership agreement. The $888 initiation fee is non-refundable. Annual dues are non-refundable once paid, including dues paid in advance before your term begins or before the Chapter I opening on March 8, 2027, except as your signed membership agreement expressly provides (including if the opening is delayed or membership benefits are not made available) or as required by law.
Billing questions. Write to corp@888society.club.
5. Events
Events, including the Charter Dinner, golf, mixer, Gala, Head Table, and guest passes, are planned and not available today. Dates, venues, formats, eligibility, costs, and inclusions remain pending. Before any event, attendance, guest, alcohol, risk, and media-release terms will be provided in writing for you to accept.
6. No Guarantees
We make no promises regarding business results, income, connections, opportunities, or outcomes of any kind. Testimonials or member stories, where shared, reflect individual experiences and are not typical results. See also our Disclaimers.
7. The Directory & Member Listings
The public roll shows only your approved name, in its seat, and only with your written consent. It never shows your profile, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. For members of the Council of the Eight, the public roll also shows the Council seat, with that member's written consent. The authenticated private directory does not exist yet, and its fields, access, and rules remain planned. You may withdraw that consent, or limit or remove your public listing, at any time by writing to corp@888society.club. A public listing is not an endorsement, recommendation, or verification of that member or their business by 888 SOCIETY.
8. The Referral Program
The Member Referral Program is active for eligible members enrolled under a separate signed Referral Agreement. The current structure pays 15% of net eligible first-year dues actually collected and 10% of net eligible renewal dues actually collected, and only on members you refer directly. The program has one level only: no reward is paid on members referred by the people you refer. The referring member must maintain an active I° membership or higher and remain in good standing when the referred dues are collected and the referral reward is earned. No referral reward is earned for a renewal paid while the referring member is inactive; previously earned referral rewards remain payable under the agreement, and later reactivation does not restore a missed referral reward. The referral must be submitted through the approved channel before the application; admission remains independent and discretionary. Existing contacts, duplicates, self-referrals, reciprocal referrals, and any second level are excluded. Refunds, disputes, reversals, taxes, and processing fees are excluded from the referral reward base and may reduce or reverse a referral reward. Before any payment, the participant must provide a completed Form W-9 or other required taxpayer documentation; ORENIDUS, LLC may issue a Form 1099-NEC or other information return when required by law. Each participant is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes. Participation does not create an employment relationship, agency, partnership, franchise, distributorship, or business opportunity, and taxes are not withheld except where required by law. A participant must clearly disclose any material connection or possible compensation when publicly recommending the Society. No income is promised. The Society may modify or end the program prospectively by written notice, subject to the treatment of any referral reward already earned under the applicable agreement. The signed Referral Agreement controls if it conflicts with this summary.
9. Intellectual Property
The 888 SOCIETY name, marks, content, frameworks, and materials are our property or licensed to us. Membership grants a personal, non-transferable right to access materials for personal use only.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
This website and the Society are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to this website or membership shall not exceed the amounts you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, and in no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms, your conduct at Society events, or your dealings with other members.
13. Dispute Resolution — Arbitration & Class Action Waiver
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, this website, or membership will be resolved by final and binding arbitration before JAMS in Los Angeles County, California, under the JAMS Streamlined Arbitration Rules and the JAMS Consumer Arbitration Minimum Standards then in effect, on an individual basis only. The arbitrator decides all questions of arbitrability. We will pay all JAMS filing, administrative, and arbitrator fees in excess of the filing fee you would pay to file in court. You may reject this arbitration agreement by written notice to corp@888society.club within 30 days of your admission (or, if you are not a member, within 30 days of first using this website); rejecting it does not affect your application, your membership, or your standing in any way. You waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. Either party may bring qualifying matters in small-claims court. Notwithstanding anything above, nothing in these Terms waives, and this Section does not apply to, any claim for public injunctive relief, which may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction; if a court finds this sentence unenforceable, that claim alone is severed and stayed pending arbitration of all other claims, and the remainder of this Section survives. Before filing, either party will give the other 30 days’ written notice of the dispute and a good-faith opportunity to resolve it.
14. Governing Law & General
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stands. These Terms, together with any membership agreement or Referral Agreement you sign, are the entire agreement regarding the website and membership program. If these Terms conflict with an agreement you signed, the signed agreement controls for you. The English version of this website and these Terms controls over any translation.
