Privacy Policy
Effective October 26, 2026 · Last updated: October 26, 2026 · This version replaces the version effective October 23, 2026.
This Privacy Policy describes how ORENIDUS, LLC (888 SOCIETY), a California limited liability company, 7840 Firestone Blvd., Ste. #206, Downey, CA 90241 ("the Society," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares personal information through this website, when you apply or write to us, and at our events.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly: name, email address, phone number, city, company, role, industry, membership degree of interest, referral source, and the contents of your application or messages. Information collected automatically: standard technical data such as browser type, device, pages viewed, and approximate geolocation data derived from your IP address. We do not collect your precise location. We use cookies and similar technologies for site operation and security only. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures page visits without cookies. Your language choice is kept only for the current browser tab and is not used to identify or track you: pages under /es/ open in Spanish, other pages open in English, and you may switch languages at any time. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to screen form submissions; it checks browser and device signals to tell people from automated programs. If you enroll in the Member Referral Program, we will ask you for a completed Form W-9 before any referral compensation is paid; do not submit tax information through the public application form.
2. How We Use Information
- To review and respond to membership applications and inquiries;
- To administer membership, events, and communications;
- To administer referral attribution, compensation, tax reporting, and records;
- To operate optional member profiles, visible only to signed-in members, for networking inside 888 SOCIETY (planned; see Section 7);
- To operate, secure, and improve this website;
- To send information about the Society;
- To comply with legal obligations.
The Council reviews each application. Every decision on an application is made by people. We do not use automated tools to approve or decline applications.
4. Communications
We contact you by email about your application. We will call or text you only if you have ticked the consent box on the application form, and consent is not a condition of admission or of any purchase. Text message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP or by writing to corp@888society.club.
5. Your Privacy Rights
We offer the following rights to every applicant, member and visitor, wherever you live, including California residents. You may ask us to tell you what personal information we have collected about you, including the specific pieces of information, the categories and sources, why we collected it, and the categories of recipients; to give you a copy in a portable format; to correct inaccurate information; and to delete your information, except records the law requires us to keep. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights. We do not sell or share personal information, and if we ask you for a Form W-9 for the Member Referral Program, we use it only for tax reporting, so there is nothing to opt out of or limit today; if that ever changes, we will update this Policy before the change and give you a way to opt out.
How to make a request. Write to corp@888society.club and include "Privacy request" in the subject. Tell us which request you are making and how we can reach you.
How we verify a request. To protect you, we confirm that a request comes from you before we act on it. We will ask you to confirm the email address or phone number you used with us and at least one other detail we already hold, such as your city or the degree you applied for. We will not ask you for a government-issued ID. To receive specific pieces of information, we will ask for one more detail and a signed statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the person the request is about. We use what you send only to verify your request. If we cannot verify it, we will tell you why.
Authorized agents. A person you authorize may make a request for you. The agent must give us your signed permission, and we may ask you to confirm your identity directly with us in the same way or to confirm that you gave the permission.
Timing. We will confirm that we received your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days of receiving it. If we need more time, we may extend this period once by up to 45 additional calendar days, and if we do, we will tell you why within the first 45 days.
If we deny a request. We will tell you why. You may ask us to reconsider by replying to our response, and we will reply within 45 calendar days.
6. Security, Categories & Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.
Categories of personal information. In the preceding 12 months we have collected: identifiers (name, email, city, phone, IP address); commercial information (the degree you applied for, your membership and dues history); internet or network activity (pages viewed, browser and device); geolocation data (approximate location derived from your IP address, never your precise location); professional or employment-related information (company, role, industry, and what you tell us you are building); and inferences drawn from the above about fit for membership. Sensitive personal information (Form W-9). If you enroll in the Member Referral Program, we will ask you for a completed Form W-9 before any referral compensation is paid, through an approved process and never through the public form. We use it only for tax reporting, and we never sell or share it.
Sources. Directly from you; automatically from your device; and from our service providers. Recipients. Service providers and contractors under written contract (hosting, security and bot-screening, website analytics, customer-relationship and messaging platforms, application, security, communications, payment and tax-reporting providers); our affiliated companies, for the purposes stated in Section 2; and government or legal recipients where required by law. Disclosures for a business purpose. In the preceding 12 months we disclosed: identifiers, internet or network activity and geolocation data to our hosting, security and bot-screening provider and our website-analytics provider, to run and secure this website; and identifiers, commercial information, professional or employment-related information and inferences to our customer-relationship, email and messaging providers, to review petitions and administer membership and communications. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding 12 months, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16.
Retention. Applications not admitted: 24 months from submission. Member records: for the membership and 7 years after it ends. Member profiles (planned): while your profile is on and your membership continues; deleted within 30 days after you delete it or your membership ends (see Section 7). Referral tax and payment records are retained as required by applicable tax and recordkeeping law and the Referral Agreement. Marketing contact records: until you opt out, then a suppression record indefinitely so we can honour your choice. Website and security logs: 12 months.
Do Not Track & opt-out preference signals. Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. There is no common industry standard for how to respond to them, and this website does not respond to Do Not Track signals. We do not sell or share personal information. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser and, if you have identified yourself to us, for you; because we do neither, the signal does not change how this website works. We do not allow advertising networks or other third parties to collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites through this website. Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider, processes technical data to secure the site, screen out automated programs and count page visits, and not for advertising.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Member Profiles (Planned)
The member profile is planned and is not yet available. Your profile is optional. If you choose to create one, ORENIDUS, LLC (888 SOCIETY) collects only what you add to it: your name as you want it displayed, your company, your role, a short biography, company logo (optional) and, if you choose to provide one, a photo. Depending on your degree, you may also choose to add the other profile fields described on our Membership page. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your profile. We do not use profile photos to identify anyone by facial recognition.
Purpose. We use profile information only for member networking inside 888 SOCIETY.
Who sees it. Your profile is visible only to signed-in members of 888 SOCIETY, and only after you turn it on. It is never shown to the public, it is not part of the public roll described in our Terms, and it is not indexed by search engines. Your personal 888 link opens your profile only for signed-in members. Service providers that host and secure the member area process profile information for us under written contract. Other members may see and remember what you choose to show; once another member has seen it, we cannot take that back, so please share only what you are comfortable sharing with fellow members. Any editorial feature about you is shown only to signed-in members unless you give separate written consent for a specific public feature, which you may review before it appears.
No sale or sharing. We do not sell your profile information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as California law defines those terms. Because we do neither, there is no sale or sharing to opt out of; if that ever changed, we would tell you first and give you a way to opt out.
Retention. We keep your profile while it is turned on and your membership continues. A hidden profile is kept, but not shown, until you delete it or your membership ends. We delete profile information within 30 days after you delete your profile or your membership ends, except for any record we must keep to comply with law or to honor your request.
Your controls. You can edit, hide or delete your profile at any time in the member area, or by writing to corp@888society.club.
Your rights. You may also ask to know what profile information we hold, including the specific pieces, to correct it, or to delete it, as described in Section 5. We will not treat you differently for using any of these choices or rights.
8. Third-Party Links
This website may link to websites of our affiliated companies or third parties. Their practices are governed by their own policies.
9. Children
This website and the Society are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not sell or share the personal information of anyone, including consumers under 16.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date reflects the current version. If we make a material change, we will post the updated Policy on this page with its new effective date, and if the change affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell applicants and members by email before it takes effect.
